Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend to CES 2012 in Las Vegas. There's no comparison with ISC West or ASIS, CES is monstrous and attracts a lot more people; on top of the entire Hall Las Vegas Convention Center, a section of the Venetian and the Hilton Convention center was used for the event with shuttles.
For the first time at CES, a Genetec product was exposed, the Autovu SharpX camera was installed on a service vehicle build by Alcatel-Lucent.
The Samsung booth was one of the biggest and most popular of the event. I found interesting the smart windows prototype they exposed, but I am not sure I would buy one. I still prefer real windows.
In the Eureka zone, section reserved to start-ups, I found an interesting gadget. It’s a small motorized platform for the IPhone for 99$.
The geek in me couldn’t resist to the smilling robot, I had to buy one and I will try to integrate it in Omnicast just for fun!
